These dogs distinguished themselves in hunting of bear, deer and wild boar, holding the game at bay for the hunter. At one time this classic breed could only be owned by members of the Japanese nobility. The edition of the plate is only 350 worldwide. Natalia Brampton has written her personal comments on the back of the plate. Each plate has a hand-painted number for that particular plate on the back, as does the certificate of warranty.
